Head century sets up Aussies series win over Zimbabwe: 2nd ODI (Harare)

Travis Head struck a superb century as Australia secured an 84-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second ODI at Harare, taking an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series.

Head produced a magnificent 112 off 84 balls, supported by Mitchell Marsh and Cooper Connolly, as Australia posted an imposing 356/6 in 50 overs. Head’s aggressive century provided the foundation for a dominant batting performance.

Zimbabwe’s chase reached 272 in 48.3 overs, but Australia’s substantial total proved beyond their reach. Head’s century and Australia’s sustained batting pressure were decisive, while Zimbabwe struggled to maintain the required scoring rate through the latter stages of the innings.

Australia 356 for 6 (Head 112, Connolly 78, Marsh 53, Evans 3-86) beat Zimbabwe 272 (Raza 45) by 84 runs.
