Cook & KP dominate Bangladesh: 1st Test, Day 1 (Chittagong)

Alastair Cook batted throughout the day and scored a marathon century 158 not out on his debut as Test captain and Kevin Pietersen hit 99 as they put on 170.

England made 3743 as Jonathan Trott 39 and debutant Michael Carberry 30 also sparkled. Earlier skipper Shakib Al Hasan was left ruing his bad judgement as he inserted England on a flat pitch.
