India stutter after Thilan and Mendis fightback: 3rd Test, D4 (P Sara)

After a loss of three quick wickets for just 49, India were left with the tricky task of scoring 204 more runs for victory on a dicey fifth day pitch taking sharp turn. Sri Lanka made a remarkable recovery from a precarious 87-7 to end up at 267 thanks to a record 9th wicket stand of 118 between Samaraweera (83) and Mendis (78).
