Fuming: Kiwis upset at game turning Mahela catch (Mumbai)

A heated exchange took place in the key Sri Lanka-New Zealand world cup game as Mahela Jayawardene was given not out after after a third umpire review for a return catch off Nathan McCullum.

The decision obviously didn’t go well with skipper Ross Taylor and the off-spinner. Jayawardene, on 24 then, stood his ground and benefitted by the inconclusive replays. He went onto make 66 as Sri Lanka eventually crushed the Kiwis by 112 runs.
