Laxman leads fightback as honours even: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Barbados)

 India's pacemen brought them back into the second Test to leave West Indies in tatters on 30 for three, in reply to India's first innings total of 201 at the close. Earlier, Devendra Bishoo, Ravi Rampaul and Fidel Edwards had each collected three-wicket hauls.  VVS Laxman top-scored for India with a battling 85 and led a fightback with Suresh Raina (53) as India recovered from 44-4 at lunch. West Indies 30 for 3 (Ishant 1-8, Praveen 1-15, Mithun 1-7) trail India 201 (Laxman 85, Raina 53, Rampaul 3-38, Bishoo 3-46, Edwards 3-56) by 171 runs. 2nd Test, Day 1 (Barbados), June 2011
