Lankans strike back after Lyon's dream debut: 1st Test, Day 2 (Galle)

Debutant Nathan Lyon (5-34) cut thru Sri Lanka's batting as Australia gained the upper-hand by virtue of a 168-run first innings lead.

Opener Tharanga Paranavitana's 29 was Sri Lanka's top score as the last seven wickets fell for just 18 runs as the locals crumbled for 104.

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath then spiced up the contest when he removed Clarke and Hussey in two balls and then dismissed Brad Haddin in his next over as Australia slipped from 3 for 110 to 6 for 112.
