Cricket Australia is standing firm on potentially banning its top players from the Indian Premier League as tensions simmered in the ugly grab for the pot cash by the Australian players.

In a separate issue Andrew Symonds was prevented from writing his thoughts in a column in The Sunday Telegraph as Cricket Australia retained the right of veto over its contracted players.
