NZ beat SL after 14 years, break 9 test streak: 2nd Test, Day 5 (PSS)

In a massive surprise against the odds, New Zealand thrashed a placid Sri Lankan team on their home soil by a huge margin of 167 runs to level the series 1-1 after losing in 3 days in Galle.

This was their first win in SL for 14 years and broke a 9 test sequence without a win.

New Zealand 412 and 194 for 9 dec beat Sri Lanka 227 and 195 (Mathews 84, Southee 3-58, Boult 3-33) by 167 runs.
