KP leads England fightback: 4th Test, Day 1 (Nagpur)

Kevin Pietersen (73) helped England recover from the loss of early wickets to take them to 199 for five on a pitch with low and uneven bounce.

After chosing to bat, Pietersen and Jonathan Trott repaired the early damage with a fighting stand of 86. Debutant Joe Root was unbeaten on 31, with Matt Prior (34no) to put on 60 runs after tea as Ishant Sharma (2-32) and Jadeja (2-34) shone with the ball.
