Spot fixing: Srinivasan forced to step aside, Dalmiya interim President

In an extraordinary situation of affairs, embattled BCCI president N Srinivasan had said that he will relieve himself from his duties until September 30, during which time former ICC president Jagmohan Dalmiya will take over as the interim chief - a provision, however, that does not exist within the BCCI constitution. This statement came after an emergency board meeting in Chennai on Sunday, and sources have told 'CNN-IBN' that the proposal on Dalmiya's name must now be ratified by the BCCI. This, in all practicality, would necessitate the formation of a special general body because there is no provision for an interim president in the BCCI constitution.June 2013
