Wagner on song as NZ clinch thrilling win: 1st Test, Day 4 (Auckland)

Left arm paceman Neil Wagner captured four wickets at crucial times as New Zealand held off a counter-attacking India to win by just 40 runs.

Chasing 407 to win, India resumed their second innings at 87 for one and the visitors were on course with Shikhar Dhawan (115) and Virat Kohli (67) sharing 126 runs for the third wicket until a late collpase.

New Zealand 503 (McCullum 224, Williamson 113, Ishant 6-134) and 105 (Ishant 3-28) beat India 202 (Rohit 72, Wagner 4-64) and 366 (Dhawan 115, Wagner 4-62, Southee 3-81) by 40 runs.
