Sri Lanka sail into finals after Mathews cameo: 2014 T20 semi WIN v SRL (Mirpur)

Sri Lanka gained revenge for the shock loss in the 2012 T20 World Cup and reached the final after a thunderstorm ended their semi-final against defending champions West Indies.

Lahiru Thirimanne made 44 and Angelo Mathews smashed 40 from 23 balls as Sri Lanka posted 160-6. In reply, West Indies lost openers Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith to captain Lasith Malinga as Dwayne Bravo fell for 30 before hail flooded the outfield, Sri Lanka won by 27 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method.

Sri Lanka 160 for 6 (Thirimanne 44, Mathews 40) beat West Indies 80 for 4 (Bravo 30, Malinga 2-5) by 27 runs (D/L method).
