Williamson rescues Kiwis: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Wellington)

Kane Williamson and BJ Watling produced an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 94 to keep New Zealand alive.

Williamson was put down on 29 by Rangana Herath and then dropped by Nuwan Pradeep after Sri Lanka had put the hosts on the back foot with three wickets before lunch and then seized control when they reduced them to 159 for five.

New Zealand 221 and 253 for 5 (Williamson 80*) lead Sri Lanka 356 by 118 runs.
