Hazlewood fined as Kiwis fightback: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Christchurch)

An angry Josh Hazlewood was fined 15% of his match fee by the ICC after shouting "who the f*** is third umpire?". Hazlewood and skipper Steve Smith rushed umpire Ranmore Martinesz to query the verdict after third umpire Illingworth ruled Kane Williamson not out.

Williamson (97) fell three shy of what would have been his 14th test hundred but wicketkeeper BJ Watling (46) and seamer Matt Henry (66) put on 118 for the eighth wicket with an enterprising stand. Bird finished with his first five-wicket haul in tests, five for 59 as NZ posted 335.

Australia 505 and 70 for 1 (Burns 27*) need another 131 runs to beat New Zealand 370 and 335 (Williamson 97, Henry 66, Watling 46, Bird 5-59).
