Match fixing: Marlon Samuels banned for 2 years

West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels was facing a two year ban after being found guilty following a probe into allegations of links with an illegal bookmaker.

Samuel was convicted after getting caught sharing team information in exchange for money with a bookie before the first ODI against India in Nagpur on January 21, 2007. The allegations led to the ICC asking the WICB to conduct an investigation which led to his conviction and the 2 year ban.

Samuels admits to talking to the bookie (well, the phone tap evidence was compelling)..but says he did not know the guy was a bookie. Come, come.

Drum him out for good. He has got caught red handed in talking with bookies. The Windies do not need guys like this in the team.
