Fighting Chase century prevents Indian win: 2nd Test, Day 5 (Jamaica)

Allrounder Roston Chase struck a heroic maiden Test century to lead a remarkable West Indies fightback to gain an unlikely draw with India.

Chase struck a fighting 137 off 269 balls as he batted all day to became only the fourth West Indies player to score a hundred and claim a five-wicket haul in same match. He had returned figures of five for 121 in India's first innings.

India lead the series 1-1.  

West Indies 196 (Blackwood 62, Ashwin 5-52) and 388 for 6 (Chase 137*, Dowrich 74, Holder 64*, Blackwood 63) drew with India 500 for 9 decl. (Rahul 158, Rahane 108*, Chase 5-121).
