India on top as Jadeja spins out NZ: 1st Test, Day 3 (Kanpur)

Ravindra Jadeja took 5-73 and helped India gain control of the first Test against New Zealand before the hosts stretched the second innings lead to 215.

India were 159 for one at stumps with opener Murali Vijay on 64 and Cheteshwar Pujara on 50 having put on 107 runs.

India 318 and 159 for 1 (Vijay 64*, Pujara 50*) lead New Zealand 262 (Williamson 75, Latham 58, Jadeja 5-73, Ashwin 4-93) by 215 runs.
