Rashid spins England to crushing win: 1st ODI (Bristol)

Leg spinner Adil Rashid took 5 for 27, the second-best figures by an England spinner in ODI's, to secure a seven-wicket win over Ireland.

Ireland got off to a fast start at 40-0 but Rashid struck to have them all out for 126. Andrew Balbirnie top-scored with 30 in an innings where only openers Ed Joyce (23) and Paul Stirling (20) got to 20. In reply, Alex Hales made Ireland pay for dropping him on zero. He made 55 in 39 balls as England romped to victory in the 20th over.

England 127 for 3 (Hales 55, Chase 3-44) beat Ireland 126 (Balbirnie 30, Rashid 5-27) by seven wickets .
