SL collapse after rapid Pandya ton: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Kandy)

Allrounder Hardik Pandya raced to his maiden international century off 86 balls as India dominated Sri Lanka again.

India posted 487 as Pandya scored 107 runs before lunch on the second day in a session. He became the the first Indian batsman to make a century before lunch on any day of a Test match.

Paceman Shami claimed two wickets and chinaman spinner Kuldeep took 4 for 40 as Sri Lanka were shot down for 135 in their first innings. Following on, the home team were 19-1.

Sri Lanka 135 (Chandimal 48, Kuldeep 4-40, Shami 2-17) and 19 for 1 (f/o) trail India 487 (Dhawan 119, Pandya 108, Rahul 85, Sandakan 5-132, Pushpakumara 3-82) by 333 runs.
