Mathews, Chandimal fightback before collapse: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Delhi)

Skipper Dinesh Chandimal and former skipper Angelo Mathews led Sri Lanka’s fightback with defiant centuries but another late collapse left India in command.

Mathews (111) and Chandimal (147 not out) put on 181 for the fourth wicket before the Indian bowlers struck back in the final session, leaving the visitors 356 for nine, still trailing by 180.
