Dhawan shines as spinners trigger SL collapse: 3rd ODI (Visakhapatnam)

Shikhar Dhawan struck his 12th ODI hundred as India delivered in the series decider to beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets.

Sri Lanka got off to a fast start and was handily placed at 136-1. Wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal set up the comprehensive victory after taking three wickets each as the visitors collapsed to 215 all out in 44.5 overs.

Dhawan posted 100 not out off 85 balls and Shreyas Iyer hit his second consecutive half century as India reached the winning target of 216 runs in just 32.1 overs to win the series 2-1.

India 219 for 2 (Dhawan 100*, Iyer 65) beat Sri Lanka 215 (Tharanga 95, Kuldeep 3-42, Chahal 3-46) by eight wickets.
