Starc rips up SA after defiant Markram ton: 1st Test, Day 4 (Durban)

Left arm quick Mitchell Starc is one wicket away a hat-trick and 10-wicket haul as Australia are on the brink of victory over South Africa.

Opener Aiden Markram's brilliant 143 and Quinton De Kock's 81 not out had given South Africa some hopes of pulling off a near world-record run chase as they chased a target of 417.

Star's late burst had Sout Africa facing certain defeat. Starc (4-74) has match figures of 9-108 with a reverse-swing masterclass that has decimated the South African lower order.

South Africa 162 and 293 for 9 (Markram 143, de Kock 81*, Starc 4-74) need another 124 runs to beat Australia 351 and 227 (Bancroft 53, Maharaj 4-102, Morkel 3-47).
