de Kock stars as Proteas go 2-0 up: 2nd ODI (Dambulla)

Opener Quinton de Kock's 87 in 78 balls set the platform for a four-wicket win over Sri Lanka as South Africa went 2-0 up in the 5 match series.

Half-centuries from captain Angelo Mathews and opener Niroshan Dickwella powered Sri Lanka to 244 for eight as Phehlukwayo took 3-45.

Dropped catches by Sri Lanka released the pressure on the South Africans as de Kock and Amla piled on a 91 run opening partnership.

South Africa lost du Plessis and David Miller in quick succession as spinner Dananjaya (3-60) applied the brakes. Mulder and Phehlukwayo saw them home in the 43rd over.

South Africa 246 for 6 (De Kock 87, Du Plessis 49, Dananjaya 3-60) beat Sri Lanka 244 for 8 (Mathews 79*, Dickwella 69, Phehlukwayo 3-45) by four wickets.
