Proteas win despite late Udana blitz: 2nd T20 (Centurion)

Allrounder Isuru Udana’s astonishing 84 not out in 48 balls for Sri Lanka wasn’t enough to stop South Africa from clinching the series with a 16-run win in the second match.

Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen put on 116 runs off 77 balls to help the Proteas reach 180-3 off their 20 overs.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost their first four wickets in the first four overs and were floundering at 62 for six when Udana walked in to bat in the 10th over and almost turned the tables.

South Africa 180 for 3 (Hendricks 65, van der Dussen 64) beat Sri Lanka 164 for 9 (Udana 84*, Morris 3-32, Shamsi 2-16) by 16 runs.
