Santner, Guptill level series against England: 2nd T20 (Wellington)

England allrounder Chris Jordan’s efforts with the bat and ball could not prevent New Zealand from securing a series-levelling 21-run win.

After Guptill (41) and Neesham (42) kept NZ’s score moving, Jordan claimed 3-23 to help restrict the hosts to a modest 176-8.

In reply, David Malan smashed 36 and Jordan hit 36 off 19 balls but spinner Mitchell Santner applied the brakes with 3-25.

New Zealand 176 for 8 (Neesham 42, Guptill 41, Jordan 3-23) beat England 155 (Malan 39, Santner 3-25) by 21 runs.
