Maiden Woakes century hurts India: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Lords)

All rounder Chris Woakes put England firmly in charge after smashing his maiden Test century in just 129 balls against India.

Woakes (120 not out) and Jonny Bairstow (93) rescued England from a precarious 131-5 with a partnership of 189 for the 6th wicket that enabled England to build a formidable 250 run lead before bad light stopped play.

Already 1-0 down in the series, India will be hoping for more rain to save them from defeat.

England 357 for 6 (Woakes 120*, Bairstow 93, Shami 3-74) lead India 107 by 250 runs.
