Sizzling Sehwag|Gambhir start gives stranglehold: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Mohali) - Part 2 of 2

India closed Day 3 firmly in control of the 2nd Test on 100-0 a lead of 301 with Australia firmly on the back foot.

Virendra Sehwag 53 not out and Gautam Gambhir 46 not out gave a quick fire start with a century stand.

Earlier debutant Amit Mishra took 5-71 on his Test debut as India moved into a matchwinning position. There was no surprise that acting skipper MS Dhoni did not enforce the followon with only a fourman bowling attack at his disposal.

Effortless batting from Viru and Gambhir destroyed the Aussies. India should declare 30 mts before tea, 450+ ahead, and then aim to take 3-4 wickets prior to close by crowding the batsmen.
