An elegant batsman Tom Graveney was among the leading players of his generation was a regular test cricketer throughout the 1950s.
Graveney appeared in at least one match in every home test series from 1951 until 1958 before he was discarded. He made a comeback for the Pakistan series at home in 1962.
He made an immediate impact scoring 401 runs at over 100 with 2 hundreds. England dominated the Pakistani's with a 4-0 series win with a drawn test at Trent Bridge.
