A remarkable ninthwicket partnership of 180 between JP Duminy 166 and Dale Steyn 76 saw South Africa turnaround their fortunes and and establish an unlikely firstinnings lead of 65.
This partnership was the third best in Test history and completely transformed the test match as the Australians wilted in the field under the sustained attack from the Proteas lower order marshalled by the maidenton from Duminy. At stumps Australia were 40 after facing 3 overs.
Day 3, 2nd Test, Dec 2008.
