Ponting & Watson take England apart: ICC Champions Trophy Semi Final (Centurion)

Ricky Ponting (111 not out) and Shane Watson (136 not out) put on a record unbroken 251run stand for the 2nd wicket as Australia powered past the 257 target set by England with 8.1 overs remaining.

After winning the toss England failed to take advantage of ideal batting conditions crashing to 101-6 as Australia snatched the early initiative. But Tim Bresnan (80) playing due to an injury to Stuart Broad was involved in a sensational fightback with Luke Wright (48) to put on 107 runs in 19 overs.
