Somerset's Alfonso Thomas 30 not out in 17 balls hit 2 fours in the last 3 deliveries of the 20th over to take his team to a thrilling last gasp win over the fancied Deccan Chargers.

They held their nerves thanks to a 50run partnership for the eighth wicket between Thomas and James Hildreth 25 which rescued them from 997.

Earlier Deccan Chargers posted 153 as Laxman shone with 46 in 35 balls.
