Gambhir & Tendulkar centuries save India: 1st Test, Day 5 (Ahmedabad)

Opener Gautam Gambhir stroked 114 and Sachin Tendulkar hit his 43rd Test century as the test ended in a high scoring draw. The hosts started the final day on 1902 still 144 behind Sri Lanka who racked up 7607 in their first innings. Tendulkar ably supported by VVS Laxman 51 not out then moved to his ton before both captains agreed on a draw with India on 4124 . Day 5 1st Test Ahmedabad Nov 2009.
