Stewart steadies ship after Bangla scare (2000)

Bangladesh made its debut in the ICC Champions Trophy and set Enlgand a target of 232 runs.

Alec Stewart and captain Nasser Hussain put together a commanding 175-run partnership for the second wicket, steering their team to victory.

Hussain scored 95 runs from 120 balls, and Stewart, who made 87 runs off 112 balls was the Man of the Match.

Bangladesh 232/8 (50) vs England 236/2 (43.5). England won by 8 wickets (with 37 balls remaining).
