Kiwis rout India for 88: Tri-Nations 1st ODI (Dambulla)

India were bowled out for 88, their fifth-lowest score in one-day internationals, as New Zealand thrashed them by 200 runs.

New Zealand recovered to 288 thanks to acting skipper Ross Taylor (95) and Scott Styris (89) as Nehra took 4-47 and Praveen Kumar took 3-43, including his 50th ODI wicket.

India got off to a bright start of 39 for no loss before collapsing to 88 with Tuffey (3-34), Oram (2-16) and Mills (2-26) doing the damage.
