England collapse to unexpected defeat (2006)

Australia won an exciting second Test to take 2-0 lead in the Ashes, after Shane Warne sparked a dramatic England collapse.

From 1 for 59 overnight, England lost their last nine wickets for 60 in 42 panic-stricken overs, with Warne right in the thick of things taking 4 for 27. Needing 168 to win, Australia romped home with Mike Hussey hitting the winning runs in an unbeaten 61. Earlier, England had declared their first innings at 551-6 after Collingwood (206) and Pietersen (158) posted tons.
