Ragged England survive Doeschate ton: 2011 World Cup #5 (Nagpur)

A ragged England team survived a major scare in their opening World Cup match as they overcome a superb performance from the Dutch. Ryan ten Doeschate smashed 119 from 110 balls as the Dutch took advantage of some poor England bowling and ragged fielding to post a healthy 292-6. Andrew Strauss (88) and Jonathan Trott (62) started well but then the runs dried up in the middle overs, Paul Collingwood and Ravi Bopara (both 30 not out) saw England home with only 8 balls to spare. This is the 3rd highest ever run chase in world cup history. England 296 for 4 (Strauss 88, Trott 62) beat Netherlands 292 for 6 (ten Doeschate 119*, Cooper 47) by six wickets
