Herath spins out Eng for win, Trott ton in vain: 1st Test, Day 4 (Galle)

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath claimed a career-best match haul of 12 wickets to propel Sri Lanka to a 75-run victory as No 1 ranked England slumped to their fourth defeat in a row.

Off-spinner Suraj Randiv lent good support with six wickets in the match as Sri Lanka went 1-0 ahead in the two-match series.

Jonathon Trott kept the tourists alive with a defiant 112 before the last five wickets fell for just 12 runs.
