Thisara hat trick gains unlikely win: 4th ODI (RPS)

The spectre of match fixing was raised again as Thisara Perera (4-42) bagged a hat-trick to secure an unlikely 44-run victory over Pakistan.

A 113-run stand for third wicket between opener Azhar Ali (81 not out) and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq (57) had the visitors strongly placed at 166-2 in the 38th over before they collapsed to 199 all out.

Earlier, Sri Lanka recovered from an early collapse thanks to a fourth- wicket stand of 110 between Sangakkara (97) and Jayawardene (40) to take Sri Lanka to 243-8.

Sri Lanka 243 for 8 (Sangakkara 97, Jayawardene 40, Hafeez 2-37, Tanvir 2-43) beat Pakistan 199 (Ali 81*, Misbah 57, Perera 4-42) by 44 runs.
