Operation World Cup: ICC Umpires exposed in match fixing sting

Overshadowing the Windies win in their T20 World Cup final, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an "urgent investigation" following allegations by an Indian television station that several umpires were willing to fix matches for money.

The sting exposed umpires' involvement in fixing matches was code named "Operation World Cup" and showed Bangladesh's Nadir Shah, Pakistan's Nadeem Ghauri and Anees Siddiqui, Gamini Dissanayake, Maurice Winston and Sagara Gallage of Sri Lanka being involved in fixing.
