Thilan leads Sri Lankan fight back: 2nd Test, Day 3 (PSS)

Thilan Samaraweera's calm batting led Sri Lanka's fightback as they recovered from 128-6 to avoid the follow on. Samaraweera, who had three stitches inserted into the webbing on his right hand after dropping a catch, made an unbeaten 76 and combined with Randiv to help steer the home side to 225 for six. Sri Lanka 225 for 6 (Mathews 47, Samaraweera 76*, Southee 4-51) trail New Zealand 412 by 187 runs. 2nd Test, Nov 2012
