Ashwin resists as England scent win: 3rd Test, Day 4 (Kolkata)

After conceding a mammoth 207-run lead, India put up a feeble batting display as they stumbled to 239 for nine. Ravi Ashwin (83 not out) provided the only resistance as the last two wickets added 80 runs after being at a precarious 159 for eight at one stage.

Earlier, resuming at 509 for six, England collapsed to be all out for 523.

India 316 (Tendulkar 76, Gambhir 60, Dhoni 52, Panesar 4-90, Anderson 3-89) and 239 for 9 (Ashwin 83*, Finn 3-37, Anderson 2-38, Swann 2-70) lead England 523 (Cook 190, Trott 87, Trott 57, Pietersen 54, Ojha 4-142) by 32 runs. 3rd Test, Day 4 (Kolkata),
