Physical: Warne banned, runs away from spat with Samuels (MCG)

Melb Stars captain Shane Warne was found guilty of three out of four charges from the explosive Big Bash derby with the Melbourne Renegades.

Warne was suspended for one match and fined $4500. After seeing Warne throw the ball at him, Samuels responded by hurling his bat past a livid Warne. The West Indian later being taken to hospital with a suspected serious eye injury after being hit by a Lasith Malinga bouncer. The explosive tit for tat started with an incident earlier in the match when Samuels grabbed Stars batsman David Hussey's shirt to prevent him attempting a run.
