Glenn Maxwell raised hopes of an Australian win but with four required off the last ball he failed to make contact and Sri Lanka won the series 2-0. Mahela Jayewardene, Thissara Perera and Maxwell exchanged verbals immediately after the final ball was bowled leading to a heated end.
