Swann cuts thru NZ, has England in charge: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Leeds)

Off-spinner Graeme Swann took 4-42 and fast bowler Steven Finn three for 36 as New Zealand suffered a second straight top-order collapse to be all out for 174 after a bright opening stand of 55.

Alastair Cook then hit 88 not out as England dominated the day to end at 116-1.

England 354 and 116 for 1 (Cook 88*, Trott 11*) lead New Zealand 174 (Swann 4-42, Finn 3-36) by 296 runs.
