Amla and quicks dominate Aussies: 2nd Test, Day 3 (St Georges)

Hashim Amla's blistering stroke-play and Morne Morkel's fearsome bowling put South Africa in control. After a quiet few months, Amla returned to form with a sparkling innings of 93 not out.

Earlier, Morkel was particularly hostile, peppering the batsmen with numerous short deliveries as he took three wickets for 63 runs and Vernon Philander claimed three for 68 as Australia were shot out for just 246.

South Africa 423 and 192 for 4 (Amla 93*, de Kock 9*) lead Australia 246 (Warner 70, Smith 49, Morkel 3-63) by 369 runs.
