Paceman Ishant Sharma took 7-74 - the best figures by an India bowler in England - as the hosts slumped to a crushing 95-run defeat in the second Test.

India took a 1-0 lead in the series with their first overseas Test win for over 3 years.

Joe Root (66) and Moeen Ali (39) gave England hope with a partnership of 101 to take them to 173-4 before they crumbled.

India 295 & 342 beat England 319 & 223 by 95 runs.
