McGrath: India must go back to basics, dropping catches hurt them

Former Australian speedster Glenn McGrath is surprised at the way India lost a hattrick of Test matches after emphatically beating England at Lord's. McGrath said India suffered due to poor fielding and the bowlers cannot be faulted for letting the England batsmen score freely. Saying the bowlers created enough opportunities only to be let down by the fielders, McGrath feels India will find conditions in Australia tough when they tour Down Under in 2014-15. Australia, McGrath feels, is a confident side after winning the Ashes and if India can't get their basics right, the results can hurt. McGrath feels Test cricket is hard work and the ultimate challenge for a cricketer. He hopes ODI world champions India will be hungry to excel in five-day cricket as well.Aug 2014
