Shoaib Malik struck his first Test century for five years as Pakistan dominated the opening day of the three-match series against England.
Malik hit an unbeaten 124 and Mohammad Hafeez (98) put on 168 runs for the 2nd wicket. Younis Khan then scored 38 to pass Javed Miandad's mark of 8,832 runs and become Pakistan's leading Test run scorer.
