Sri Lanka suspends bowing coach for match fixing attempt

Angelo Mathews was summoned by the Sri Lankan Police to give evidence as Sri Lanka Cricket suspended fast bowling coach Anusha Samaranayake for two months over an alleged attempt to fix a Test against West Indies. He is accused of bringing in a man with no top-level cricketing experience to help the squad at training sessions. Kusal Perera and Rangana Herath had complained of a net bowler approaching them to spot fix the first Test against the West Indies in Galle in October, which Sri Lanka won by an innings and six runs.
