MCG Preview: Maddinson retained, Warner needs to improve record

Out-of-form Australia batsman Nic Maddinson got a reprieve with his captain Steve Smith confirming his side will be unchanged for the Boxing Day Test against Pakistan.

Pakistan's Asad Shafiq is expected to continue his giant killing form. Pakistan's stubborn fourth-innings comeback to score 450 runs at the Gabba meant Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood each bowled 56 overs for the match, while Jackson Bird bowled 45.

2nd Test, MCG, Dec 2016
